Key Definitions


Loyalty is the number of people listening to a program as a percentage of the station’s weekly cume listening to radio at that time (both based on AQH estimates).

Power is a program’s loyalty in relation to the station’s full week loyalty.

A station’s core audience listens more to the station than to any other.

Each measure can be calculated from Arbitron data distributed through the Radio Research Consortium. Audience Research Analysis’ AudiGraphics products explore these measures of public service in great detail.
